Two things we would like to research with someone.
Concrete enough to write a bid around. We bring working simulations, data pipelines and the engineering; a partner brings the site, the data or the discipline we lack.

Crowd twins for pilgrimage and venue safety
Our Mataf study simulates circumambulation flows at the busiest hours. The open question is calibration: how to fit agent-based crowd models to sparse real observations (counts, dwell times, camera-free sensors) well enough to trust them for layout and timing decisions, and how to express the uncertainty to the people who make those decisions.
Who we are looking for: A venue, transport or event operator with observations to share, or a crowd-dynamics group.

Honest replays: twins that show what they do not know
PortSim replays a recorded working day of a container terminal. We want to study how a twin should present missing, stale and estimated data to operators so that confidence tracks evidence: the interface design, the measures and whether it changes decisions.
Who we are looking for: A port or logistics operator, or an HCI / human-factors group.
How it works
We co-write the proposal, share the engineering openly where the funder allows it, and publish what we learn as field notes. Student projects and placements are welcome. We are based in the UK and work with Innovate UK, UKRI and EU formats.
